General Information

For our first year of racing we will offer 4 distances over 2 days. Saturday July 6, Mixed Relay and
Kids of Steel Duathlon.
Sunday July 7, Sprint Triathlon and Sprint Duathlon.

On Sunday you may compete as an Individual or as a Relay Team.

Cut off times: 30 minutes for the sprint triathlon swim. Other than that we would like to see everyone complete the race so there will be no cut off for bike or run. There will be officials and volunteers watching for your safety.

Awards for each event will be presented shortly after the conclusion of the races. The presentation will be made near the finish line area.

You do not have to leave your country of origin to come to the gardens. Although you do have to pass back through customs on your way home. A passport is recommended. 

Peace Garden Entry Fees are $20 per vehicle for the weekend.

Mixed Relay Triathlon

200m Swim - 1 short loop

10km Bike - 1 Loop of the Bike course

1.6km Run - The first 3 athletes on the team return to transition to send the next member of the team to the swim. The last team member to run crosses the finish line.

Finish Line is on the International Border in front of the Peace Chapel 

Maximum number of competitors 120 - 30 teams of 4.

Athletes must be 12 years of age and up. Great event for family participation!

Sprint Distance Triathlon

750m Swim - 1 Loop of the swim course

20km Bike - 2 Loops of the bike course, each loop is 10km

5km Run - 1 Loop of the run course

Finish Line is on the International Border in front of the Peace Chapel

Maximum number of competitors 200

May compete as a 2-3 person team. 

Athletes must be 18 years of age, or 16 with parental permission

Sprint Duathlon

2.5km Run 

20km Bike - 2 Loops of the bike course, each loop is 10km

5km Run - 1 Loop of the run course

​Finish Line is on the International Border in front of the Peace Chapel

Maximum number of competitors 200

​Athletes must be 18 years of age, or 16 with parental permission
Transition Area & Race Check in
Transition Area and race check in will be located at the Willis Pavillion.
Parking for athletes will be available close to transition.
Check in times will be announced closer to the Race
